  Amy holds a BA in English Language from the University of Swansea and a PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Brighton. She achieved the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO) in 2023.

  Amy has many years of experience in primary education, having worked in two schools within the Schoolsworks Academy Trust. She joined Downsbrook in 2014 as Early Years Leader and was appointed Assistant Headteacher in 2018. Amy has a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and plays a key role in leading inclusive practice across the school.

  Kirsty Scandian

  Kirsty holds a BA (Ed) from the University of Brighton, which included teaching in Ghana as part of her training. She has experience working across nursery and primary school settings and became Assistant Headteacher at Downsbrook in 2018.

  Kirsty currently leads on Key Stage 1 and is passionate about ensuring high-quality early education, supporting children's development during their vital early years in school.
