Downsbrook Community Foodbank
We know that Covid has had effects on many within both our own school community and the wider community of Worthing. Harvest is a good opportunity We were fortunate to secure the support of local supermarkets as well as parents and families in setting this up just before lockdown. Our foodbank is needed now more than ever and the cupboards are looking bare...
How can you help?
We are looking for donations of non-perishable goods to build up our stock. Items such as tinned goods, pasta, grains and pulses are perfect. We are also looking for donations of other essential items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other personal items.
If you have any items in your cupboards that you would be kind enough to donate we would be very grateful. Donations can be brought to the school office or given to a member of staff on the gates at the beginning or end of the day.
Information about how and where you can access the food bank in school is
available from Mrs Maynard or any member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Use of the foodbank will of course be discrete and confidential.
If you have any questions do please do not hesitate to contact us.
