The Downsbrook Foodbank

Our School Food Bank
The ongoing rise in the cost of living is affecting many families, both within our school and across the wider Worthing community. In response, our school has set up a food bank to offer support to those who may be in need.
Thanks to the generosity of local supermarkets, families, and staff, our food bank has already made a difference – but demand continues to grow, and our supplies are currently running low.
We are appealing for donations of non-perishable food items such as:
-
Tinned goods (vegetables, beans, fruit, soup, etc.)
-
Pasta, rice, grains, and pulses
We are also in need of essential personal care items, including:
-
Toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, and sanitary products
If you are able to donate, items can be brought to the school office or handed to a member of staff at the gate during drop-off or pick-up times.
If you or someone you know in our school community would benefit from using the food bank, please speak to a member of the Senior Leadership Team. All enquiries will be handled with complete confidentiality and discretion.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
